scotch, poker and friends
that is thus far my favorite post title.

john, mag and i went to the black bear pub for an italian style brunch saturday morning. the selection was limited but the quality was quite satisfactory. there were some scotch flights in the alcohol menu there that caught john's and my attention. the 3 to 4 one-onze serving flights of various premium scotch and whiskey goes for around 30$ per person taking into account taxes and tip. john and i thought if we bought our own scotch it would be either much cheaper or more servings for each person. thus the idea of scotch and poker night was born.

I've given it some thought. if we had a 6-person group with an initial investment of $25 and $15 each time after that, we should have about 8 servings of altogether 4 different types of scotches for each person each time. the selection could extend to wines and cognacs. while we do the flights we could play poker at the same time. we could even start early and include dinner in it.

I know john and I would be interested. my dad would prolly go crazy over the idea if I told him. now I just need a few more people to get this off the ground.

Sounds good! And yeah...paying $30 a glass is expensive when you can have that same scotch at home for much less.

I'm in.
Just let me know when, I'd be interested...
cool, I believe we have at least 6 persons now.
