the cheese story
last time, i went to a local supermarket for some cheese (for the first time in hk), I found only a single brick of cheese in the entire store, one. i confirmed and reconfirmed by holding that brick of cheese and asking the stocker/stockist/stockologist. he politely pointed me to the fake cheese, ie, kraft singles. i asked if there were more like the kind I found, he said no with a look on his face like "how did that get in here". i went to the cashier with what i had in my hand.

to my surprise, it was good cheese! australian cheddar, nice.

supermarkets in central (or downtown) usually carry a good variety of cheese, but i just don't want to be luggin a brick of cheese during the long bus rides home in 25+ weather.

tonight i tried my luck again at the same local store and returned empty-handed.

that concludes my cheese story
